Head your hunger off at the pass with a visit to El Chile Grande cantina mexicana (mexican-style restaurant & bar), just off the Carrera del Genil in the centre of granada, close to el Corte Ingles. Muglia Indian Food Restaurant
The first thing British visitors to Granada want to know is where they can get a good Indian curry. The two Muglia restaurants (both have the same owner) are the places to go in Granada. Muglia 1 is just beside the Plaza Gracia, and Muglia 2 is close to the Plaza Nueva. Food and service are generally excellent, and their nan breads are especially recommended. The waiters speak English.

Samarkanda
An unpretentious, family-owned Lebanese food restaurant just off the Calle Elvira, close to the Plaza Nueva in the centre of Granada. The food is simple - the closest you will get to home cooking in a restaurant - but nontheless excellent and very reasonably priced. The service is friendly and efficient. Starters include humus, falafel, yoghurt dips, walnut and red pepper paste, aubergine dips and Arab salad with bulgur wheat and mint. The main courses are substantial. You can choose from couscous, tajines, roasts, baked fish and savoury pies. One of the best dishes is the Lebanese-style lamb, with rice, pine nuts, lamb, herbs and spices. Also try their pollo al ajo (garlic chicken), which comes with carrots and potatoes. The wine list offers a good selection of reds and whites. Highly recommended.
